TL;DR

1. Purpose

Snacko respects your right to control your personal information. This policy explains how we delete user data upon verified request or when it is no longer necessary for providing our services.

2. How to Request Data Deletion

Users can request deletion of their personal data by sending an email to hello@snacko.health with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”

Please include the email address used to create your Snacko account in your request. This helps us verify your identity and ensure that your data is securely deleted.

3. Verification Process

For security purposes, we verify that the request is being made by the rightful account owner. Once verified, your account will be marked for deletion, and all data associated with it will be permanently erased within the stated timeframe.

4. Processing Timeline

  • Verification: within 48 hours of receiving your request.

  • Data Deletion: completed within 30 days of verification.

  • Confirmation: you’ll receive a final confirmation email once deletion is complete.

5. Data Covered by Deletion

Upon confirmation, we permanently delete:

  • Account details (name, email, height, weight, birthdate).

  • Health and nutrition records.

  • Consultations, messages, and notes.

  • Uploaded files or attachments.

  • Analytics identifiers and notification preferences.

Backups are automatically purged during their standard lifecycle (within 30–45 days).

6. Exceptions to Deletion

We may retain limited information only when legally required or necessary to:

  • Fulfill financial or tax obligations (such as invoices or payment confirmations).

  • Comply with law enforcement, court orders, or dispute resolutions.

  • Maintain anonymized data that cannot identify you, used only for analytics or statistical purposes.

All retained data is securely isolated and inaccessible for operational use.

7. Third-Party Services

Snacko uses trusted third-party processors such as AWS (for hosting), Stripe (for payments), PostHog (for analytics), and OneSignal (for notifications).
When a deletion request is received, we initiate corresponding deletion or anonymization processes with these partners wherever applicable.

8. Children’s Data

Snacko does not knowingly collect or store data from children under the age of 13.
If you believe a child’s data has been inadvertently collected, please contact us at hello@snacko.health, and we will promptly delete it after verification.
